Mount Vernon - Baltimore, Maryland
City House is located in the heart of Baltimore’s historic Mount Vernon neighborhood. Our properties offer an ideal location that is walking distance from Penn Station and a convenient 25-minute drive to Baltimore-Washington International Airport.
Mt. Vernon is a few blocks north of downtown Baltimore and was once home to many of Baltimore’s wealthiest residents and cultural anchors. The Washington Monument, located only a few blocks south of City House, is the first monument in the US dedicated to George Washington. The blocks surrounding the monument offer some of the most well-preserved examples of early 20th century architecture in the United States. Mt. Vernon Square is even on the National Historic Registry.
Many of Baltimore’s cultural and educational institutions are based in the Mount Vernon neighborhood. These include the Walters Art Museum, the George Peabody Library, and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and the Baltimore Basilica. In addition, the University of Baltimore, the Maryland Institute College of Arts, and Johns Hopkins University are located in neighborhoods just to the north of Mount Vernon.
